Announcements Slider Show Contacts News Releases Wyoming Information Sharing Platform (WISP) County Coordinators Training and Events Calendar Tier Two Information Frequently Asked Questions FEMA T raining Announcement K0212 – Unified Hazard Mitigation Assistance: Developing Quality Application Elements Agenda The purpose of this course is to educate students in the process of developing quality mitigation planning and project grant application elements for the Unified Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grant programs. DATES: Jan 19- 28 (approximately 4-5 hours per day) 8 a.m. Mountain Time Training will be conducted via Adobe Connect and the URL will be provided soon. This is the first virtual offering of this course and is limited to 10-15 participants to determine the efficacy of the course in a virtual setting. We value your feedback and hope that you or your staff can take advantage of this training for next years BRIC program or open HMGP application periods. Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to identify eligible mitigation planning and project activities and develop quality applications for the HMA grant programs. This course will provide clear instruction and group activities that will educate the student on all phases of a grant from mitigation activity identification through application and award. It will further provide detailed instruction on the principals of project management to ensure the student is equipped to properly manage the grant during the implementation phase. Prerequisites Required: IS-393.b, Introduction to Hazard Mitigation, IS-212, Introduction to Unified Hazard Mitigation Assistance.
